Hapag-Lloyd orders third expedition cruise vessel
Vard | Fincantieri-owned Vard Group has won a third polar expedition cruise vessel contract from German cruise company Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. The 16,000gt vessel is the third vessel in the cruise line’s Hanseatic series with the other two currently under construction. The hull of the latest ship will be built by Vard in Romania before further construction and outfitting is undertaken at Vard Langsten in Norway. Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2021.
