Based on the central idea „The Synchronised Shipyard”, SSI will be presenting its products ShipConstructor, an AutoCAD based CAD/CAM product line; and EnterprisePlatform, a tool for sharing product data model information at SMM 2018. A current project for leveraging engineering information is the integration of ShipConstructor with the cost management system CostFact. This software supports cost estimation, cost planning and cost control from initial design through to production. By linking both systems, initial project cost estimations can be based on existing as-is ShipConstructor design models and used as a basis for adapting to changes and modifications in the project to capture cost deviations early....
