New cyber security notations
Bureau Veritas (BV) has introduced a series of new cyber security classification notations and guidelines to enable owners to comply with regulatory requirements, safeguard their crews and protect assets both from malfunction and malicious attack. The new notations come amid mounting concern over shipping’s vulnerability to cyber attack. The first new notation, SW-Registry, targets software change management and has been designed to ensure that new software installations are properly tracked.
