Batteries to store power from first floating wind farm
Batteries are to be used to store electricity from the world’s first offshore floating wind farm, Hywind , which is located 25km off the coast of Peterhead, Scotland. In the project known as Batwind, the partners are Equinor, the recently rebranded Norwegian state energy company Statoil, and Masdar, a renewable energy developer based in Abu Dhabi.
