Spliethoff Group a scrubber convert
While many ship operators who have chosen exhaust gas cleaning as a compliance strategy now worry about whether they can complete scrubber installations before the IMO’s 0.5% sulphur cap enters force in January 2020, Amsterdam-based Spliethoff Group is well advanced in its installation programme. The 12,500dwt geared general cargo ship Floragracht is the latest and 24th group-owned vessel to have a scrubber installed – the vessel had the work undertaken at BLRT shipyard in Klaipeda, Lithuania, in June....
