Workboats – a testing ground for retrofit technologies
The many types of workboats and their wide range of applications offer a panoply of opportunities in which new energy-saving technologies can be tried and tested. Retrofits and trials can be undertaken at reasonable cost and, if viable, pave the way for wider adoption by global shipowners and operators. Charlie Bartlett reports.
