Revitalising the US shipbuilding sector
Siemens Digital Industries Software has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HD Hyundai to transform and modernise the US shipbuilding sector. The move comes after the South Korean conglomerate established partnerships with a number of US shipbuilding groups to upgrade specific shipyard facilities and procedures. The agreement with Siemens will establish Siemens Xcelerator as the digital foundation for the revitalisation of shipbuilding in the US, the partners said.
