Repair options widen in Asia
Despite efficient and profitable repair yards in many parts of the world, it is facilities in China, Singapore and the Middle East that book the lion’s share of global repair business. Today, as demand for ship upgrades and retrofits gathers pace, new yards in Asia are under development and capacity at existing repair facilities is expanding. SORJ staff report.
