Australian ferry named at Flensburger Shipyard
Searoad I | Tasmanian Shipping and Logistics Company, SeaRoad Pty Ltd, partner companies, and friends recently attended the launching and naming ceremony of the freight ferry, Searoad I , at Flensburger Shipyard. The 11,970dwt vessel, with a length of 210m and powered by LNG, is designed to carry a range of freight types and will be the largest vessel ever operated by the Tasmanian shipping company. The RoRo will have a freight capacity of 3,620 lane metres and 101 cars. It will be capable of carrying heavy loads of up to 100 tonnes, containers via a cassette system, road trailers, vehicles and high-and-heavy cargo units....
