Successful tests on hydrogen retrofits completed
San Francisco-based Newlight has completed successful factory acceptance testing (FAT) on a hydrogen retrofit system that enables conventional diesel engines to operate on a blend of hydrogen and conventional fuel. The technology, suitable for retrofits to two- and four-stroke main engines, has been designed and built to comply with the International Code of Safety for Ships Using Gases or Other Low-flashpoint Fuels.
