In our publication, we regularly look at maritime markets around the world, the ones next door but also those overseas. As we live and work in such a global industry, decisions that are made thousands of kilometres away can affect business at home dramatically, and not always for the best. Nationally subsidised shipbuilding or insular decision-making regarding OPEC’s oil production cut goals are just two examples.
