In our publication, we regularly look at maritime markets around the world, the ones next door but also those overseas. As we live and work in such a global industry, decisions that are made thousands of kilometres away can affect business at home dramatically, and not always for the best. Nationally subsidised shipbuilding or insular decision-making regarding OPEC’s oil production cut goals are just two examples. While negative headlines about the global shipbuilding and offshore industries have dominated the news recently, experts now see some light at the end of the tunnel.
