Stand E01-07 In the run-up to this year’s Nor-Shipping, Switzerland-based Hug Engineering AG has announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Chinese Marine Power Co Ltd (CMP) for the supply and production of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems. CMP is an engine manufacturing division of CSSC, the Chinese State Shipbuilding Corporation, one of the largest shipbuilders in China. This agreement formalises a cooperation that started in 2016 with the supply of the first SCR systems for CMP’s medium-speed engines. The scope of the cooperation agreement includes production of SCR systems’ steel components by CMP. With the SCR unit, CMP’s engine will be able to meet IMO Tier III requirements. www.hug-engineering.com
