System for advanced engine analysis with permanent engine monitoring
TCS-01CA | Germany’s Imes GmbH, specialised in cylinder pressure measurement, has developed a two-stroke combustion sensor, the TCS-01CA, for continuous cylinder pressure measurement in two-stroke diesel engines to enable cylinder balancing and performance evaluation. The sensor is designed for permanent installation on marine diesel engines. According to Imes, it should be installed in a special adaptor between cylinder cover and indicator cock, as this reduces the build-up of combustion deposition at the sensor membrane significantly. The company offers these special adaptors for MAN and Wärtsilä engines.
