Norwegian RoPax ferries to have MAN Cryo fuel gas supply systems
Torgatten Nord | Two double-ended RoPax ferries currently under construction at Norway’s Vard Brevik shipyard for ferry operator Torgatten Nord will have gas-electric hybrid propulsion and fuel gas supply systems provided by MAN Cryo, MAN Diesel & Turbo’s Gothenburg-based marine LNG fuel system manufacturer. The LNG supply system consists of a 175m3 vacuum-insulated storage tank, with auxiliary equipment including an LNG vaporiser, a pressure build-up unit, and a bunker station. The systems are scheduled for delivery to the shipyard in the first quarter of 2018.
