Stand D05-44 Hubert Palfinger Technologies GmbH is presenting its automated hull treatment solution, access systems for cargo tanks and cargo holds as well as access platforms for jack-up offshore structures. Since the last Nor-Shipping, the company’s hull treatment carrier (HTC), combining ultra-high-pressure water jetting and automated coating application, was successfully used for the treatment of ships’ hulls at shipyards in Singapore, Germany and China. These treatment processes delivered extraordinary surface preparation and coating quality resulting in material savings and low surface friction – enhancing the vessels’ performance. Together with Akzo Nobel/International Paint the company has developed special paint specifications for the automated application.
