Stena opts for more methanol conversions
Swedish ferry operator, Stena Line, has signed a contract with Wärtsilä to carry out methanol fuel conversions on some of its vessels. The move will provide Stena with ‘unmatched fuel flexibility’, according to a statement, thereby marking an important milestone in the ferry line’s journey towards becoming a leader in sustainable shipping. The unspecified number of ferry conversions will ensure that the vessels comply with both existing and imminent regulations, including the IMO’s carbon intensity indicator, FuelEU Maritime, and the IMO’s 2050 GHG reduction target....
