Innovation Centre established
Shanghai | China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and classification society DNV have unveiled a Future Ship Joint Innovation Centre in Shanghai. The partners aim to cooperate on ship and offshore technical innovation, progress in decarbonisation, advances in digitalisation, and the provision of technical support for the maritime industry. The initiative follows the signing of a Strategic Cooperation Agreement Framework between the two companies in 2019. The Centre, which will be established and operated by the Singapore Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI) and DNV China, will set up three working groups to focus on maritime decarbonisation, digital twin/digital ship technology, and green and smart shipping innovation....
