Australians launch wave energy research project
Albany-based Marine Energy Research Australia (MERA) has embarked on a study of wave energy hydrodynamics with the aim of accelerating and commercialising this potentially abundant source of sustainable power. The University of Western Australia research centre will work on the project together with Swedish wave energy developer, CorPower Ocean, and Australia Ocean Energy Group (AOEG).
