Ammonia combustion test completed, optimised auxiliary engine launched
MAN Energy Solutions has released details of a new dual-fuel auxiliary engine range targeting the container and LNG sectors. Also, it has revealed the first successful tests of an engine operating on ammonia at its Research Centre Copenhagen (RCC). The MAN 35/44DF CD auxilliary engine is based on the company’s MAN 35/44DR CR and MAN 32/44CR engines which have clocked up millions of running hours in many marine applications.
