ASRY launches solar energy project to support ship repair
ASRY has launched a major solar energy project at its Bahrain yard with the support of Bapco Energies and in partnership with Kanoo CleanMax Renewables. The development will be the largest solar installation in the ship repair and shipbuilding sector. It will support Bahrain’s transition to clean energy and cut operating costs at the yard. The plant will deliver 22.5MW in phase one and a further 22MW in phase two, with annual output set to exceed 71 million kWh when both phases are completed.
