Robot to support subsea wind farm surveys
UK-based offshore wind technology firm, Beam, has unveiled an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), Scout, to enable wind farm operators to adopt a new approach to subsea maintenance. Scout will combine advanced AI, real-time 3D reconstructions, and precise navigation, the company said, providing faster and more efficient subsea inspections.
