Bourbon orders six crew boats
Surfer-type | Bourbon Mobility, an offshore passenger transport company and a subsidiary of the Marseille-based Bourbon Group, has ordered six new crew boats at Chantiers Piriou in Vietnam. The 27m-long Surfer-type vessels are expected to consume 20% less fuel than existing units. The 30-knot Surfers will be capable of transporting 50-70 passengers, depending on configuration, with two deck spaces for cargo – 40m2 at the stern and 20m2 towards the bow. They will have a real-time fuel consumption data analysis capability to optimise engine operating parameters, the company said....
