Package increases accuracy
A new combination of thrusters and propulsion control systems has been launched by technology group Wärtsilä targeting the offshore, ferry and tug sectors. The setup comprises the company’s WST-E embedded electric steerable thrusters, WST-R retractable thrusters, and an updated remote propulsion control system incorporating an enhanced user interface, ProTouch. Wärtsilä claims the system will ensure greater accuracy and reliability in dynamic positioning (DP) operations.
