Blockchain laboratory investigates business models
Lloyd’s Register Foundation (LRF) and Blockchain Labs for Open Collaboration (BLOC) are jointly funding a partnership that will establish Maritime Blockchain Labs (MBL) to explore the use of blockchain technology for the assurance and safety of critical infrastructure, and to explore new business models in global shipping. Over the next 18 months, LRF and BLOC will provide the resources necessary for MBL to pursue three demonstrator projects focused on risk and safety where distributed systems can enable breakthrough solutions, the partners said in a statement....
