Coating technology maximises technical performance of dry bulk carriers
Sigmashield MTC | For shipowners and operators of dry bulk carriers looking for a commercially sound solution for spot and full repairs, PPG Industries has formulated a new solution called Sigmashield MTC. It combines a PPG Sigmashield Prime undercoat and PPG Sigmashield MTC topcoat, explains Sijmen Visser, global marine marketing manager at the US-headquartered company. He adds that its robust properties make it the ideal solution for application in new constructions. The chemistry of the PPG Sigmashield MTC system includes a pre-reacted amine hardener in the coating.
