Competitiveness at centre of debate
European Shipping Week | The global competitiveness of European shipping and the strategies being developed by the European Union and its respective bodies to foster it are among the main themes for the European Shipping Week (ESW) 2017, it was recently announced. To be held in Brussels from February 27th to March 3rd, next year’s ESW will offer the ideal platform for both industry and regulators to come together to debate and agree a pathway for these and other issues, the organisers said. ESW17 will fall under the Maltese presidency of the European Union, and its capital Valetta has already announced that it will focus its maritime agenda on migration and the Mediterranean.
