Four Greek frigates to be upgraded Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) and Thales, the original equipment manufacturers of four frigates built for the Hellenic Navy about 30 years ago, have joined forces to set up a consortium to undertake modernisation of the MEKO® 200 HN vessels. Under the terms of the consortium agreement signed in December, TKMS will undertake modernisation of the ships’ platform with supply of design documents and communication systems.
