EC-backed initiative to boost floating wind
The 13-partner NextFloat Project has been launched in Europe to hasten development of floating wind power. Coordinated by Paris-listed Technip Energies and backed by the European Commission (EC) under its Horizon Europe programme, the project has been awarded EUR 16 million in development finance as well as private funding from partners and shareholders. Participants in the project, which is expected to run until 2027, are Technip Energies, X1Wind, Naturgy, 2B Energy, Hellenic Cables, Technical University of Denmark, Hydro, Ecole Centrale de Nantes, Schwartz Hautmont, Ocas, Tersan Shipyard, Ocean Ecostructures, and Cybernetix....
