World’s first hybrid solar-powered inland vessel launched
Blue Marlin | HGK Shipping, in partnership with Dutch solar energy innovator Wattlab, has unveiled the Blue Marlin – the world’s first inland cargo vessel capable of hybrid propulsion using solar power. The vessel’s 192 solar panels can deliver up to 35 kW, supplying energy to both onboard systems and the vessel’s high-voltage electric propulsion.
