Strategic partnership announced on green ammonia project
Lloyd’s Register and Germany’s DAI Infrastruktur GmbH have announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), outlining a new strategic collaboration on Project Ra, a large-scale green ammonia production and bunkering plant to be sited at East Port Said in Egypt. The facility is expected to have a capacity of up to two million tonnes of green ammonia per year. More than 80% of the total – 1.65 million tonnes or green ammonia – is expected to be produced solely from renewable energy sources. Production at the plant is scheduled to start in 2029....
