Tank level radar launched
TGD-R | API Marine introduced its tank level radar – TGD-R (tank gauging device – radar) at September’s SMM maritime trade fair in Hamburg, saying the new product further strengthened and expanded the fully integrated API SMART cargo control and automation systems for tankers. The new API tank level radar TGD-R operates on 26 GHz high frequency and can measure up to 35m. Furthermore, the company says, the antennas and microprocessor have been optimised for high-speed signal analysis, enabling their use in very complicated measuring environments such as chemical and product oil cargo tanks.
