September 2016 | Editor

Arctic Shipping | Lloyd’s Register (LR) has launched what it describes as a unique offer that will make it easier for clients to comply with the Polar Code, an International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulation that has been developed to protect the two polar regions from maritime safety and pollution risks. It will be applicable to new ships from January 1st 2017 and existing ships (existing ships are exempt from structural requirements) from the first intermediate/renewal survey after January 1st 2018.
