Speed routing service launched
Swedish-Swiss technology company, ABB, has launched a new weather routing service, Optimal Speed Routing, that will support decision-making on ships’ routes and speeds, thereby minimising voyage costs, fuel burn, and emissions. The new feature is included in the ABB AbilityTM Routeguard onshore routing service and follows the company’s acquisition earlier this year of the shipping business of DTN Europe BV and DTN Philippines Inc.
