Decarbonising anchorage

Denmark | The Port of Skagen and Maersk subsidiary, Stillstrom, an offshore charging specialist, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding providing offshore power and charging systems at the Skagen anchorage. One of the busiest stopovers in Northern Europe, the Skagen anchorage lies immediately to the east of the Port of Skagen in North Denmark. Since 2020, more than 3,800 ships have called at the anchorage for at least six hours. This has generated 66,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year, according to estimates by Marine Benchmark AB, a data analyst....
