Air lubrication retrofit for LNG carrier

A Silverstream air lubrication system has been installed on an oil company-owned 174,000m3 LNG carrier at Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore. By mid-April, the vessel was being prepared for post-drydock sea trials and crew training during the commissioning process. The 30-day project is the eleventh Silverstream® System retrofit supplied by the London-based firm which now has about 70 systems in operation. Seatrium is a signed cooperation partner of Silverstream. Silverstream founder and CEO, Noah Silberschmidt, who has spent many years developing the technology, commented: “This successful retrofit at Seatrium of our technology on board another LNGC is yet further proof of our deep experience in the LNG segment....
