Safe servicing of offshore wind turbines
MAINTAINER In early 2012, Voith Turbo and the Schramm group announced their cooperation in developing special vessels for the transfer of staff and material to offshore wind farms. One result of this cooperation has been a concept for the new service vessel Maintainer, described here by Stefan Moyé, manager of marine engineering, and Dr Claus-Torsten Voht, project engineer for ship design, at Voith Turbo Schneider Propulsion GmbH & Co KG in Rostock, Germany.
