Performance of wave energy device verified
AW-ENERGY | Finnish wave energy developer AW-Energy said its wave energy device WaveRoller had received a performance verification from DNV GL after operating in a fully exposed ocean environment during testing in 2012 and 2013. AW-Energy submitted detailed data on wave conditions and device performance. Independent verification of the WaveRoller power matrix is a major milestone for the commercialisation and large-scale deployment of near-shore wave energy converters, the company said.
