The cost of defeating corrosion in ballast tanks
CASE STUDY Many factors influence the corrosion rate of ballast tanks. To determine causes and effects, a technical and economic modelling approach has been taken by Kris De Baere, Geert Potters and Helen Verstraelen from the Antwerp Maritime Academy in Belgium.
