WIND FARMS The HPTIV (high performance turbine installation vessel) SeaWOLF concept is the latest in a series of customised wind turbine installation vessels designed by Wärtsilä. In addition to the high-tech systems installed and integrated on the SeaWOLF, the vessel is meant to be the cleanest on the market, writes Henning von Wedel, senior mechanical engineer at Wärtsilä Germany.
