Lubricity of low viscosity fluids

February 2011 | Michael Zaun

LOW SULPHUR FUEL The introduction of low-sulphur fuels has resulted in special requirements for transfer pumps since the required desulphurisation leads, among other things, to reduced lubricity of the fuel. Germany-based Kracht GmbH uses extensive test methods on low viscosity media to determine the influence of the viscosity on the reliability of conventional fuel pumps.
