As-built survey of a hull
LASER SCANNING A three-dimensional model, the so-called ‘as-built survey’, can be accomplished by means of a laser beam passing over the hull in a grid pattern. A target-performance comparison based on the existing planning documents and design data becomes essential for ship repair and conversions.
