POINT ABSORBERS | Amongst the proposed technologies for wave energy in recent years, point absorbers are more popular mainly due to their simplicity in design. Although wave surging gives maximum energy from waves, point absorbers utilize heave motion; this is due to complex wave characteristics like non-uniform wave direction, wave length, timing and amplitude.
