Ferry route to become fossil-free by 2035
Sweden’s Ports of Stockholm, the Port of Turku in Finland and ferry company, Viking Line, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up a green shipping corridor. The aim is to ensure that the route between the two ports becomes fossil-free by 2035 at the latest. Both the project itself and the partnership will qualify as a green shipping corridor according to the Clydebank Declaration, of which both countries are signatories.
