Contract set for logistics of heavy maintenance
Norwegian state energy firm, Equinor, and its Abu Dhabi partner, Masdar, have chosen Stavanger-based Global Maritime for the logistics relating to heavy maintenance of turbines at the world’s first floating wind farm, Hywind Scotland , 25km off the coast of Peterhead, UK. Five Siemens Gamesa turbines, operating since 2017, generate 30 MW of power at the spar floating farm. Global Maritime will be in charge of the project’s operational management contract.
