First STM systems installed on three Swedish ships

September 2017 | Editor

Information sharing | The first sea traffic management (STM) compatible bridge systems have been installed on three ships as part of the STM Validation Project. The ferry Stena Germanica and two rescue vessels from the Swedish Sea Rescue Society (SSRS), the Rescue Märta Collin and the Rescue 11-00 have had installations so far in a programme which envisages tests on some 300 ships, 13 ports, and at least five shore centres in the Nordic and Mediterranean Seas.
