First “shore power” notation
DNV GL | The KL Sandefjord, an anchor handling tug supply vessel owned by K Line Offshore AS, is the first offshore vessel to receive DNV GL class notation – “shore power” – signifying that the vessel is equipped with the necessary equipment on board to shut down engines in port and rely on shore-supplied electricity at the berth.
