Machinery maintenance takes a digital step forward
Classification society Bureau Veritas (BV) has teamed up with Kongsberg Digital to develop a digitally optimised machinery maintenance system. BV’s Machinery Maintenance Application (MMA) can now be connected directly to an operator’s own maintenance management system, K-Fleet from Kongsberg, enabling shipboard machinery maintenance data to be transferred directly to BV. The first of these digital connections, which went live on April 3rd, linked Swedish tanker owner, Furetank, with BV’s MMA.
