Project identifies 70 MW of potential ocean energy
The pan-European Evolve project, which has modelled the scale of ocean energy resources in Great Britain, Ireland and Portugal, has identified scope to develop up to 60 GW of potentially viable wave energy and 10 GW of tidal stream power. Results have suggested possible resources of 34.8 GW in Great Britain, 18.9 GW in Ireland, and 15.5 GW in Portugal, the project partners said.
