New software supports CII management
Norway’s BASS Software, a provider of fleet management software for shipowners and managers, has launched a new Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) calculator as part of its latest BASSnet 2.11 Service Pack. In force since January 1st, the IMO’s CII assesses how efficiently ships transport cargoes or passengers in relation to carbon emitted. The new software will enable owners and operators to manage a ship’s CII effectively by: Calculating a vessel’s attained CII and corresponding rating, from A to E; Visualising and monitoring CII ratings for single ships and across an entire fleet; Viewing and calculating future projections of CII ratings; Exporting CII calculations into protected external format....
